# Events with your agent

Find an event, join it or host your own through structured actions.

## Find and join

1. Search public events with events_search. Read full details and registration questions with events_get.
2. Ask your agent to register using events_manage with operation register, your contact email and required answers.
3. Read the receipt: confirmed, waitlisted and awaiting host approval are different results.
4. Use events_read to check your registration or invitations. Cancel your own registration using events_manage with operation guest and status cancelled.

## Host an event

1. Use events_manage with operation create to save a draft with the event details.
2. If you need a cover, upload a selected image with files_manage and use its file ID.
3. Before publishing, connect your Gmail or Outlook mailbox through your Bris account. Read the sender options with events_read, operation senders.
4. Read the current event version, then use operation edit to set the sender and state published.
5. Invite guests, review registrations, manage attendance or export the roster from the same conversation.

Mailbox setup is needed for hosts to send event messages. Guests do not need to connect a mailbox. If setup is missing, Bris returns setup_required with a connection link; your agent can resume the saved draft afterward.

Hosts can use events_read guests with an ISO country such as LV to filter guests by where they explicitly say they are based. Only shared profiles are included; missing country remains unknown. Approve selected guests with events_manage guest and report capacity or waitlist results. events_manage export saves a complete CSV or JSON roster with shared country and answers, requiring files:write. events_export returns paginated JSON records.

Hosts can manage only their own events and guests. Public discovery includes only public published events. An event venue is descriptive; creating an event does not book or pay for a venue. Delivery status and registration status are separate.
